On October 19th, 2018 I went to a fun restaurant in the East Village named Autre Kyo Ya and had an interesting experience. They describe themselves as a French restaurant utilizing elements of Japanese cuisine. The results were interesting and the dishes are quite different from an izakaya.

First off, there was a happy hour and they were serving delicious East Coast Oysters for $1 each.
